Hoa Lu Ancient Capital - Tam Coc - Mua Cave
Hoa Lu is a semi-mountainous region, featuring numerous natural landscapes such as the Trang An cave complex and Tam Coc - Bich Đong, alongside the relics belonging to the Hoa Lu Ancient Capital complex, which have been formed and preserved for over 1,000 years.
Tam Coc - Bich Đong, also famously known as 'Ha Long Bay on Land', is officially recognized as a National Key Tourist Area of Vietnam.
Detailed Itinerary
07:00 - 07:30: The bus and tour guide pick up guests from hotels in Hanoi’s Old Quarter and the Hanoi Opera House to begin the journey to Ninh Binh.
10:30: Arrive in Ninh Binh and visit Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, the capital of Vietnam in the 10th century. Guests will explore:
- Dinh Tien Hoang Temple and Le Dai Hanh Temple, dedicated to King Dinh Tien Hoang and King Le Dai Hanh, respectively.
- The excavation area near Le Dai Hanh Temple.
- The scenic Truong Yen Valley, where guests can immerse themselves in the stunning landscapes of this historic region.
12:30: Guests return to a local restaurant for lunch and rest.
Afternoon: The bus and tour guide will lead guests to:
- Tam Coc: Guests purchase tickets and board small rowboats at the Tam Coc pier for a scenic eco-tourism journey along the Ngo Dong River. The boat ride takes guests through three limestone caves—Hang Ca, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba—over approximately 2 hours, offering breathtaking views of karst mountains and lush rice paddies.
- Mua Cave: Guests take a leisurely walk through winding paths covered in greenery and artistic rock formations, followed by a challenging climb of about 500 stone steps to the summit of Mua Cave. From the top, guests are rewarded with a panoramic view of the vast Hoa Lu landscape, a serene yet majestic scene resembling a traditional ink painting. This awe-inspiring vista often evokes overwhelming emotions. On the return journey, guests pass through the lotus pond area nestled among limestone peaks, creating a poetic and historical ambiance. Guests can rent traditional costumes for photography at this picturesque spot (at their own expense).
17:00 - 17:30: Guests board the bus to return to Hanoi.
19:30 - 20:00: Arrive back in Hanoi, concluding the tour. Farewell and see you again!
Inclusions

Exclusions
- 10% VAT invoice (no additional charge if an invoice is not required).

Children Policy
- Ages 1-4: Free of charge (no seat on the bus; parents cover all related expenses). Two adults can bring one free child; additional children are charged at 75% of the tour price (includes half a meal portion and a separate bus seat).
- Note: If one adult accompanies a free child (ages 1-4), the child must purchase 50% of the adult tour price (includes services equivalent to children aged 5-9).
- Ages 5-9: 75% of the tour price (includes a separate meal and bus seat but shares a bed with parents). Two children charged at this rate do not receive a separate bed.
- Ages 10 and above: Charged as adults, with full adult services.
General Notes
- Guests must bring valid identification (ID card/passport). Children under 14 must carry a birth certificate at minimum. Children 14 and older must have an ID card or passport.
- It is recommended to bring common medications for diarrhea or fever.
- Vegetarian guests should bring their own vegetarian food to suit their preferences.
- Any services in the tour not used, unless due to the tour operator’s fault, will not be refunded.
- The tour guide reserves the right to rearrange the order of visits to suit the specific conditions of each departure day, provided all listed attractions are covered.
- For tours with 10 or fewer guests, or when using 4-, 7-, or 16-seat vehicles, the driver may also serve as the guide. These drivers are experienced in leading tours.
Guest Responsibilities
- Guests are responsible for their own health in all circumstances. They must inform the tour operator of any personal medical conditions to receive additional health-related advice for each tour.
- Guests must safeguard their personal belongings at all times and locations during the trip. The tour operator is not responsible for losses of money, valuables, flight tickets, or personal property during the tour.
