Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi - Cat Ba (Lunch/Dinner)
07:45: The bus picks up guests at the designated meeting points at the Hanoi Opera House or 09 Cho Gao Street and departs for Cat Ba via the Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway, crossing the Tan Vu - Lach Huyen Bridge, Vietnam’s longest sea-crossing bridge connecting Dinh Vu with Cat Hai Island in Hai Phong City.
- Note: On weekends, departure times may be scheduled earlier than usual. Guests are kindly requested to arrive at the meeting point as informed by the tour guide the previous afternoon.
11:30: Arrive at Cat Ba Island. Guests enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, then check into the hotel and rest.
Afternoon: Free time to swim at beaches such as Cat Co 1, 2, or 3.
18:30: Dinner at the hotel. Evening free to explore Cat Ba town, visit the night market, or engage in other leisure activities. Overnight stay in Cat Ba.
Day 2: Cat Ba - Lan Ha Bay - Viet Hai Village - Kayaking - Hanoi (Breakfast/Lunch)
05:00: For early risers, it’s recommended to take a walk or arrange (at guests’ expense) an electric cart or motorbike taxi to visit Cannon Fort. From this vantage point, guests can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding islands with the naked eye or through telescopes. After watching the sunrise over the sea, guests can relax with a morning coffee in the refreshing ambiance of this island gem.
07:00: Breakfast at the hotel restaurant.
07:45 - 08:00: The bus picks up guests at the hotel and transfers them to Ben Beo Port.
08:30: Board a cruise ship and begin the exploration of Lan Ha Bay, one of the most beautiful bays in the world.
09:10: The cruise sails through Cai Beo Floating Village, one of the oldest fishing villages in the Gulf of Tonkin, offering opportunities to photograph landmarks like Turtle Island and Chopstick Island.
10:00: Visit Viet Hai Ancient Village, the only ancient village on Cat Ba Island, preserving its pristine beauty tied to fishing and forest traditions. Guests can enjoy a memorable experience cycling along the coastline of the fishing port and through Cat Ba National Park, participating in fish massage, foot soaking, and visiting local homes.
11:00: Arrive at Hang Luon - Tai Keo. Guests receive life jackets, paddles, and kayaks to paddle through the expansive caves, adorned with stalactites and featuring two streams flowing from inside to outside. Surrounded by towering mountains, the scenery feels like a paradise. The group can pause here to rest and soak in the wild, natural atmosphere.
12:30: Enjoy a seafood lunch on the cruise, featuring distinctive Cat Ba specialties.
13:30: Swim at Van Boi Beach or Ba Trai Dao Beach (depending on tide conditions). These are among the largest and most beautiful natural beaches in the bay, offering opportunities for swimming, photography, and enjoying the ocean.
15:00: The cruise returns to the port, concluding the itinerary. Guests transfer back to the hotel to collect luggage and board the bus to Hanoi.
20:30: Arrive back in Hanoi, concluding the Cat Ba tour. Farewell and see you again!
Inclusions
- Transportation by modern air-conditioned tourist bus (7-16-29-35-45 seats, depending on group size) as per the itinerary.
- One night’s accommodation at a 2-star or 3-star hotel (based on registration), with 2 guests per room (odd-numbered groups may share a triple room).
- Meals as per the itinerary:
- 2 main meals at 150,000 VND/meal/person.
- 1 seafood lunch on the cruise at 200,000 VND/meal/person.
- 1 breakfast (buffet or noodles/phở, depending on the day) as per hotel standards.
- Entrance fees for Lan Ha Bay.
- Cruise for Lan Ha Bay exploration.
- Kayaking at Hang Luon - Tai Keo.
- Electric cart or bicycle tickets for the fish massage area.
- Tour guide accompanying the group as per the itinerary (typically, a full-route guide is provided on weekends).
- Drinking water on the bus for travel days (2 bottles of 500ml/guest/tour).

- Costs for motorbike taxis or electric carts to beaches.
- Electric cart or bicycle tickets for Viet Hai Ancient Village and entrance fees for the village.
- Any services or expenses not mentioned in the itinerary or inclusions.
- Additional costs for optional activities mentioned in the program.
Children Policy
- Ages 1-4: Free of charge (parents cover all related expenses).
- Note: Children aged 2 to under 4 incur an additional 350,000 VND fee for the Lan Ha Bay cruise.
- Ages 5-9: 75% of the tour price (includes a separate meal and bus seat but shares a bed with parents). Two children charged at this rate do not receive a separate bed.
- Ages 10 and above: Charged as adults, with full adult services.
General Notes
- Guests must bring valid identification (ID card/passport). Children under 14 must carry a birth certificate at minimum. Children 14 and older must have an ID card or passport.
- It is recommended to bring common medications for diarrhea or fever.
- Vegetarian guests should bring their own vegetarian food to suit their preferences.
- Any services in the tour not used, unless due to the tour operator’s fault, will not be refunded.
- The tour guide reserves the right to rearrange the order of visits to suit the specific conditions of each departure day, provided all listed attractions are covered.
- For tours with 10 or fewer guests, or when using 4-, 7-, or 16-seat vehicles, the driver may also serve as the guide. These drivers are experienced in leading tours.
Guest Responsibilities
- Guests are responsible for their own health in all circumstances. They must inform the tour operator of any personal medical conditions to receive additional health-related advice for each tour.
- Guests must safeguard their personal belongings at all times and locations during the trip. The tour operator is not responsible for losses of money, valuables, flight tickets, or personal property during the tour.
